At DFW Smiles, we’ve composed a team of talented professionals – each experienced in their areas of specialty – to give our patients superior care. We are a close-knit group who works together seamlessly throughout our daily tasks, and we share a common dedication to serving our patients.
Stephen L. Parker, DDS
With 29 years of experience in comprehensive dentistry in the North Texas area, Dr. Parker has established himself as an authority on cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry. Dr. Parker is the dentist you grew up with. Focusing his practice on family and community, Dr. Parker has earned many lifelong patients.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in 1978 from the University of Texas, he went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Parker’s ongoing post-graduate education includes the Advanced Aesthetic Continuum at New York University, where he gained valuable, hands-on expertise in porcelain veneers. He is also certified in the restoration of Astratech, ITI Straumann, Dentsply, Nobel Biocare, and Zimmer dental implants. Currently Dr. Parker is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association and Dallas County Dental Society. He is also a founding member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and former President of the Irving Dental Study Club.
Dr. Parker and his wife, Dina, have two children. When not busy with work and family, Dr. Parker plays competitive flag football, coaching and quarterbacking for his state-ranked team, The Drillers. He also coaches “Little Drillers”, his son’s flag football team, and coaches 7 on 7 football in the GCYFA. Dr. Parker serves as team dentist for the Southlake Carroll High School football team each autumn. Dr. Parker also makes mouth-guards for Colleyville Heritage, Grapevine, and Keller High Schools.
Dr. Parker is dedicated to keeping up with the newest advancements in the dental industry. He is committed to investing in his patients by using only the latest and most advanced dental techniques and equipment.
